BRAND WISDOM:
Nels Andrews was born near some water, and then, for a long time lived in a desert near some chile peppers. In between he planted trees. Then he was in a tall city. Now he’s back near the sea. He likes the way stories sound when they are sung.
CORE BRAND TENETS:
Shuffling, melodic, wise, impressionistic, Nels takes on the challenge of turning great poetry into music.
THE ASK:
After seeing Nels perform one night at The Crepe Place in Santa Cruz I was instantly a fan. His heartfelt songs felt like just the right mixture of crusty old salt water barnacles and effortless delivery – like a nice warm sunny day. Artist and designer Mike Bencze had just collaborated with Nels on a lovely flexi-disc release for the single of Pigeon and the Crow.
